Ritardando

Ritardando, 2026, Oil on Canvas, 40x40 This piece alludes to an Italian musical term meaning to gradually decrease the tempo. The blurred background reflects slowing down life and focusing on what is in front of you. This painting shows that focusing on what you can control can make life feel more tangible. Creating the blurred lights took many layers of color, circular brush strokes, and carefully placed highlights. Music notes were added flowing toward the future.
